NURSES

Here at Dubbo Medical and Allied Health Group we have full time nursing staff running clinics and providing services such as wound review and dressings, removal of sutures, immunisations, routine checks for blood pressure, blood sugar levels and coordinated care with your doctor, please book a GP appointment if you wish to discuss having a procedure with us.

You can contact out clinic between the hours of 1.30pm -3.00pm  Monday to Friday for all results.

Coordinated Care (CCC)

The Co-ordinated Care Clinic are appointments with the nurses and your GP. The clinic offers management plans for chronic conditions auch as diabetes, heart disease, respiratory disease, osteoarthritis and cancer. These clinics offer you access to a Medicare rebate

Health Assessments

Health Assessment clinics are run on a daily basis by the nurses in conjunction with your doctor,

Health Assessment Categories

  • 4 year old healthy kids check
  • Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander ATSI (over 15 years of age)
  • 45-49 years screening for signs of heart disease, COPD and diabetes
  • Over 75 years

If you, or any one you care for, fall into any of the above categories, have a chat to your GP, the nurses or reception staff about booking in.

Nurse Services

Our nurses are available to assist you with queries in relation to medications, adverse reactions or any other health concern you may have, if you are unsure if you need to see a doctor. Please keep in mind the nurses can get very busy and if they are not immediately available to assist you they will do their best to contact you when they can. Emergency appointments are kept for conditions such as chest pain, shortness of breath, sick babies or children, pregnancy related problems and bleeding. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms please alert the reception staff and you will be given priority.
