Meet Dr Buddhika Wijerathne
MBBS, MPhil, MPH, FRACGP, FRSPH, SCHP (Children health)

Dr Buddhika Wijerathne was born and graduated in Sri Lanka. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and practises medicine with thoroughness and an evidence-based approach. He focuses on identifying the root causes of diseases and treating the body as an interconnected system. He applies a systems biology approach to analyse hereditary, environmental, dietary, and lifestyle factors in diseases, while also incorporating evidence-based supplements into his practice to provide holistic, patient-centred care.

He holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) focusing on chronic kidney disease of unknown origin (CKDu) and dermatoglyphics, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH). He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health in the UK. He successfully completed the Sydney Child Health Program at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.
Dr Wijerathne has authored multiple research papers as the lead author and actively supports the advancement of clinical medicine, medical education, and undergraduate training.​​
