Michael Duggan and Nicole Wright are our resident podiatrists at DMAHG. They deal with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs. The conditions podiatrists treat include those resulting from bone and joint disorders such as arthritis, soft-tissue and muscular pathologies as well as neurological and circulatory diseases. Podiatrists are also able to diagnose and treat complications which affect the lower limb, including skin and nail disorders, corns, calluses and ingrown toenails. Foot injuries and infections gained through sport or other activates are also diagnosed and treated by podiatrists.

Michael enjoys all aspects of podiatry but especially biomechanics of the feet and lower limbs and helping people to stay pain free. Michael worked with an orthotic manufacturer during his training and is able to prescribe and adjust orthotics as necessary.
Common biochemical injuries include plantar fasciitis, adult acquired flat foot deformity or tibialis posterior dysfunction, Achilles tendonitis, stress fractures, ankle sprains and shin or knee pain. These can be treated with correct footwear, stretching and orthotics as necessary.

As a podiatrist Nicole is passionate about all aspects of the feet and lower limbs. She especially likes treating and being involved with the ongoing care of chronic diseases such as diabetes and arthritis. Working at Dubbo Medical and Allied Health Group means that we can offer comprehensive care by working closely with the Doctors and other Allied Health professionals.
Nicole enjoys working with children and the different foot conditions that can arise as they grow. If parents have any concerns about the way their children are walking or if the child is complaining of foot pain or ingrown toenails please don’t hesitate to make an appointment, as a mum herself Nicole knows that peace of mind is very important when it comes to your children.
With Michael and Nicole working together they are able to offer nail surgery here at the clinic and enjoy forming part of the DMAHG team of doctors and allied health professionals to offer optimum care for their patients.
